We also want to help manage your business and assist you should you need to draft, review, or negotiate any contracts. PROBATE

Probate administration is the legal process of settling a deceased person’s estate, including validating a will (if there is one), managing assets, paying debts or taxes, and distributing the remaining property to heirs. If there's no will, Florida’s intestacy laws apply. The firm offers support through this entire process, including probate litigation.

They also provide estate planning services to help avoid future probate issues. Estate planning ensures your wishes are followed and can include tools like wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, deeds, and letters of instruction.

MEET OUR MANAGING ATTORNEY,

RICARDO JEROME

Ricardo Alexander Jerome is the founder and managing attorney at the Jerome Law Firm, where he focuses on the areas of probate and estate planning. He also handles real estate and business matters.

Ricky, as he prefers to be called received his Bachelor od Arts with a dual major in Political Science and Philosophy from Florida International University in 2018. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate form the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law at St. Thomas University in 2022. While in law school, he participated in in the moot court program and where he competed nationally. He also served as the Executive Online Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review and as Treasurer for the Black Law Student Association. While in law school, Ricky was consistent in being a Dean’s List award recipient, receiving it three times. During law school, he clerked for one of his many great mentors, Gustavo A. Gutierrez where he assisted in a wide variety of legal issues, primarily probate administration, but also real estate and business matters.

In his free time, Ricky enjoys serving and volunteering at his local church, Emmanuel Revival Church, located in Miami Gardens, traveling, playing sports, music, and taking care of his dog, Cyrus. Ricky is fluent in Spanish and also offers services to help those who primarily speak Haitian Creole.
